Just a few quick reminders. These are also in the school newsletter,

  • The Terry Fox Run is next Thursday. CE Barry is hoping to raise a toonie per student to donate to cancer research.
  • Also next Thursday is our Open House and Welcome Back BBQ. Come on down to enjoy a burger, stroll around the school and check out your child’s classroom.
  • The school is participating in a clothing drive to help with our sister school in the Dominican Republic. All old clothes are welcome!
  • A year long challenge between our school house teams is to bring in the tabs from aluminum cans. They will be used to help in the construction of wheelchairs for those in need.
  • The Running Club has started noon hour training. This can dovetail into Sun Run training if students have an interested parent to train with.
  • Swimming dates for our class are November 12, 14, 19 and 21 from 10:30 to 11:15. Towels and swimsuits are a must as swimming participation does contribute to the PE grade. Feel free to come and watch your child swim!

It’s been a great start to the year! Any concerns, please email at the address provided or phone. The students all know that they can receive extra help or time with any assignment or project after they eat their lunch as well as on most days after school.

Cheers!
