March 15

Happy Spring Break!!!

The only students to have homework (yes, I know, I am a meanie!) are the ones who have not completed their illustrations and chapter summaries up to chapter 14 on their story map.

ALL students should be reading everyday. They could also practice their math skills. Try www.multiplication.com or https://www.khanacademy.org to practice online.

Congratulations to this month’s grade 5 Students of the Month; Alexis from division 5 and Mackenzie from division 6.March SOM

Have a great break! See you in two weeks.

Cheers,

Mr. H

SKATING MONDAY!!!

SKATING MONDAY!!!

SKATING MONDAY!!!

I was away Friday and I did not have a chance to let the class know that we are skating TOMORROW AFTERNOON (March 10). Please bring skates and helmets if you have your own, and warm clothes. I would appreciate it if any parents on Facebook or twitter could please let other parents know. According to my stats page, I have only 3 regular followers. Thank you.

Report cards went out Friday. If you have concerns or questions about your child’s report/progress, please contact me for more information.

LA – Novel unit homework for Monday includes the all worksheets, chapter summaries for each chapter up to chapter 14, and the first eight boxes of their story maps completed including colouring.

MATH – No new homework.

SOCIALS STUDIES – New chapter next week.

SCIENCE – Chapter 9 TEST is on Wednesday. I notice many science binders left at school. Your child should be studying for this test.

FRENCH – Continuing the Weather package.

ART – New project next week.

PE – Winding up our unit on volleyball.

The Paralympics has begun in Sochi, Russia. Canada has already won medals! Here are a few of our 54 athletes going to the Sochi games.

Go Canada! Cheers!
