LA – A few students still need to turn in their story map. More than 2 weeks overdue!!! Poetry PowerPoints are winding down. Ask your child if they have all the poems written.

MATH – Page 193 and 194 #3 and 4 due tomorrow.

SOCIAL STUDIES – Working on chapter 5.

SCIENCE – No new homework.

FRENCH – A few students behind on the Weather package and/or the Easter package. Working on a unit about the human body.

PE – Indoor games, and outdoors to prepare for our upcoming sports day!

ART – Symmetry pie project.

If you would like a copy of our class commercials or our school behaviour video just send a memory stick with your child. The students did a great job and I had a lot of fun with these projects. They really are an amazing group of kids!

LA – The story map for our novel was due today. Several students still need to hand in their project.

MATH – Working on 2 operation input and output tables. Example:

The hint is to find the gap between the output numbers. Ask your child to solve the rest.

SCIENCE – Continuing chapter 10.

SOCIALS – Continuing chapter 5.

FRENCH – Easter quizzes returned next week.

PE – Starting track and field. Sports day coming soon!

ART – Our new project is the symmetry pie. Older projects are now homework. Check out these amazing haiku pastels! Wow!

Our Bunny Run was held today and our class did very well with 5 of the 6 fastest times for grade fives. Pictured are Kai, Daniel, Brandon Guin and Charmaine from division 6 and Shaina from division 5.

A great day at the Skills Contest at the Abbotsford Tradex. So many cool and interesting trades, skills and demos to look at and try out. A great day was had by all!

LA – We are finishing up the novel this week. Our open book test (based on their notes and worksheets) is next week. 

MATH – Our second review test is tomorrow.

On Wednesday, April 9th, we are travelling to Abbotsford Trade X to view a Skills BC Trades Competition. All students need to return a permission form. Extra forms available at the office. Click here to check out the day.

LA – Summaries, notes and worksheets up to chapter 18. Remind your child not to fall behind on the story map.

MATH – We had a review test covering many of the grade 5 skills so far this year. The test was marked in class and was to be taken home so your child could practice where necessary. Please click on the link below to access a copy. Your child will love me!
