Just a reminder to the many students who still have overdue library books from last year – if you have an overdue book you cannot take out a new one. I have a list from Mrs. Gratrix with the overdue books and the replacement cost if they can’t be found.

Our library day is Monday.

See you all tomorrow!

Hello!

We made it through the first full week! Most of the homework so far has been in math. Since we do math everyday, this will often be the case. Here are the subjects and our progress.

LA – We reviewed nouns, verbs, adverbs, adjectives, proper nouns and pronouns. We also had a spelling test today. Most 5-day weeks we will do a spelling unit.

MATH – We began JUMP Math book 1 with the place value unit and are up to page 42. Ask your child to show 2 364 in expanded form and with base ten models. Ask them to put the less than <, or greater than sign > between these two numbers: 45 673        45 690     Also ask them to read out both those numbers.

SCIENCE – We began the section on the human body in chapter 4, The Digestive unit up to page 90.

SOCIAL STUDIES – Chapter one up to page seven.

FRENCH – Numbers up to 12 and colours as well as basic greetings such as “bonjour” (hello)

ART – Name tags are done and Dream Jobs are the latest assignment.

PE – Participation, effort and sportsmanship all contribute to the letter grade in PE.

Feel free to use the student planners or email if you have any concerns or questions.

Have a great weekend! Cheers!

Hello!

Welcome to grade 5 in room 108. This is the class online homework board. It is more of a reminder for parents and guardians as the students all have person agendas to help them remember their assignments. I usually make one post a week outlining the upcoming tests/homework, overdue assignments and sometimes goofy pics from the class.

Feel free to phone the school or email me at doug.hoshowski@sd78.bc.ca if you have any concerns or questions.

Cheers!
